Hello everybody,<\/p>\n

It has been more than 3 years I wrote something in my website. Today I will share with you how I moved my WordPress to new website and redirect blogger page to new home. \u00a0I had to moved my old WordPress abouthealthydrinks.com to new aninkitchen.com. <\/span>The reason for moving page is I am writing about cooking and not only about healthy drinks. Hope you guy will support my work in the future.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Blogger is the first page and they have all history, index, time table for Google search. I do need to keep my blogger page and I recommend you guys keep control of your blogger page. Do not delete everything in a blogger even if you move everything to a new page. Redirect your traffic to a new website and it will save you a lot of time later.Today I will share with you steps by steps I moved my page. \u00a0You also can fix 404 redirect trouble with simple code.<\/span><\/p>\n

I had to download old WordPress file first. Then I have to redirect my old blogger post from abouthealthydrinks.blogpost.com to aninkitchen.com. That is why it will be little bit more complicated than only redirecting.<\/p>\n

1. Backup WordPress\/ blogger<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Blogger: Setting\/ Manage blog \/ Back up content \/ Download<\/p>\n

WordPress: Tools \/ Export \/ All content.<\/p>\n

2. Import old WordPress file to new WordPress account<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Tools\/ Import \/ Blogger (you can download it in plugin and only import blogger after you finish redirect steps)<\/p>\n

WordPress run importer<\/p>\n

Categories and tags converter \/ click on whatever you want.<\/p>\n

3. Reclaiming your new page to GoogleSearch Console <\/span><\/h2>\n

Google Search Console\/Search Property\/Add Property<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Enter your own website name then click on verify website<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then you have one open box Verify domain ownership via DNS record.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can see the copy the TXT record to DNS configuration for <\/span>www.yournewwebsite.com<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a04. Adding Google TXT to your domain<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Go back to your domain hosting company page. Log into your account and Find the Domain Name System (DNS) in the control panel. On my website I cannot find it and only find it in Domain column.<\/p>\n

Domain Name System \/Then you go to find TXT line. Add new text line to the TXT line in DNS control panel and save it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then you can go back to the Google Search console and click on verify.<\/strong> Google will verify it very fast 1 or 2 minutes then everything is ready. Google said in a bad case it might take you some days.<\/span><\/p>\n

After verifing, your new website will appear on Property in Google search Console.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. \u00a0 \u00a0Redirect Blogger to new WordPress page<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Go to Theme\/ custom (Modified)\/ Edit HTML<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then you can see the HTML page for your whole blogger. Do not worry you can handle that small lines. I can show you what I do.<\/span><\/p>\n

You read from the beginning to the line 4 when you see the <head><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Then you go down there and page these code<\/span><\/p>\n

<meta content=’0;url=https:\/\/www.yourwebsite.com<\/a>‘ http-equiv=’refresh’\/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

If this is the first time you redirect your blogger to new website you just click on Save.<\/span><\/p>\n

Close the HTML page and go back to blogger page and click on view site. Then you can see your redirect page work quite ok already.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 year ago I redirected my blogger to my old page\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

http:\/\/www.abouthealthydrinks.com<\/span><\/a> and now I changed it to a new page so I have to do more work than you. Some of you might have the same trouble with me so I share with you what I do too.<\/span><\/p>\n

First I have to read all the lines in HTML page and changed all the old websites to a new one . <\/span><\/p>\n

Remember to write down or copy your whole domain name to HTML or bloggers do not redirect to your new website.<\/b><\/p>\n

Read all the lines carefully and change it from the lines 4-18.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then go down to the end of the page and change the old domain to the new one too. My page is from line 873 to 889.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, remember to read all the lines and change it when you see the old domain name in the line.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then save it. Then come back and check if it works properly or not.<\/span><\/p>\n

If it is ok then congratulations you redirect your blogger to the new website.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Redirect blogger to Homepage not 404 page<\/strong><\/h2>\n

My blogger redirected to a 404 page with very nice sentences. The page you are looking for is not here. I had to google and try to fix my problem. I found one code that help blogger redirect to my main page<\/span><\/p>\n

<script> window.location.href = &quot;http:\/\/www.yoururl.com\/&quot<\/a>;; <\/script><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

You can copy this script and change the website name to your website.<\/span><\/p>\n

Log-in into blogger and go to:<\/span><\/p>\n

Settings > Search Preferences and set the Custom Redirects. You also have the option to choose Permanent or Temporary redirection.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All these steps helped me move my blogger page to a new page. It took me 4 days to ask and google how to fix these troubles. <\/span>You guys might think oh this almost dead page does not have anything special. I did think so but when I checked my statistics I found out that my page has more than 240.000 views. That is a super impressive number for me. I do appreciate your guys’ support and I do not want to waste my hard writing posts.\u00a0I do hope my experience can save you time if you have the same trouble as me.
